Thank you Joan for your lovely review. My husband and I have been married for 23 years now. Sometimes it seems like we have always been married and sometimes, I wonder where we both came from. (smile) I was married once before for 30 years but it was light years away from resembling this marriage.
I'm glad you found this poem. I haven't posted for awhile now. I've been working on Japanese Short Form poetry and hope to post some poems soon.

I absolutely agree about the sense of having been married forever and sometimes the feeling of the relationship being new, and we have been married for 48 years!

-I had a great pleasure to enjoy reading your romantic poem written when iambic pentameter and rhyming where each rhyming word was contingent to the meaning and concept of each line.
-Superb enchantment that is the running on of the thought from one line, couplet, or stanza to the next without a syntactical break.
- With all the rhythm, metering and enjambment flowing as it does which makes the reading's fluidity forward even more with a very concise and enjoyable conceptual theme.
-Demonstratively written descriptive imagery they had is definitively expressed throughout your poem. "Bright morning stars shine through my windowpane.
White contrails stream across the cobalt sky contrasting old world atmosphere with new --your bold blue eyes like heaven, mystify." This metaphorical imagery sets up the purity and trustworthiness of the following lines after following the word "mystify." I like how you describe yourself just sitting there watching him wake up, is a very personal and touching moment.

This is one of the best love poems that I have read in a long time. Although the subject of love (romantic love) has been written about for centuries, your poem provides originality. It is great feeling when you can still feel love after decades of marriage. You guys are truly soulmates.

You 'rocked' my world after I read your poem! :) Truly, it was beautifully written --- and your words painted images as you spoke them.. to me, the sign of a true poet.. who has such a earnest, creative spirit, that they can't help but be creative and inspiring whenever they communicate! Also, it is so refreshing to hear that your spouse can still reach that inner core of your being, and tickle your fancy while kissing your cheek! Delightful.
