I think the youth of America are standing up and saying just this. All the tears and prayers don't seem to have helped when the answer is to buy more guns. It is hard for us to understand. Great word for this topic, Craig.
cheers,
valda

They are indeed, Valda. It's so heartening hearing them speaking out, and so eloquently, after this latest tragedy. Let's hope their voices don't continue to fall on deaf ears. Many thanks, Craig

I hear you my friend; I only wish our political leadership has the guts and brains to wake up; quite profound and timely, a superb acrostic; thanks for sharing.

A sad morning, and this acrostic does well to summarize the repeating mourning loop. Frustration. Disdain. Sense versus something beyond sense. The helplessness of not sure if I'm in the minority, or if the majority just can't seem to make progress.

I'm not so good to offer much more on this, the poem is solid, and says it all.

Craig, This is a very well written short acrostic poem you have penned. You used very good descriptive words and great imagery from your words. The key is to pray before something happens! Blessings, teri

Ha, very smartly written social commentary, Craig. Your acrostic of course for the National Rifle Association's continued lobbying of US lawmakers and paying millions and millions of dollars into their election campaigns makes it a real test of those folks commitment to ensuring the safety of their people. You speak with great clarity and conviction and a new word too!

Great job!

Gloria

Thanks very much, Gloria. I'm just waiting to see what line the NRA will take next. At the moment, I reckon it's an each-way bet between:

    1) It was a staged event using paid actors. No one was really hurt or killed; or...

    2) If there had been more people at the school armed with rocket launchers, the gunman wouldn't have stood a chance.

    Cheers,
    Craig

Very , very well done and very well spoken. Everyone seems to deny responsibility so next we have to blame the victims for not preparing to die.

What victims? The NRA will surely tell us the whole scene was staged, and actors were used to try and defraud people out of their 2nd amendment "rights". It's bizarre. Thanks for the positive comments :) Craig

This is an excellent word for today. How perfect that it arrived at just the right time for this news event. I'm wondering how minors are getting access to guns? It's getting to be a common news report to have a gunman shooting children in schools. I cry for the children and families victimized by this murderer.

And yet again, the President is claiming it's all a "mental health issue". Well, how about we start by not giving the mentally ill access to fully automatic weapons??? Of course, it isn't really about mental health at all, but if it were, that's no excuse. Thanks so much for the wonderful review :) Craig

I had to look up NRA, does it mean National rifle Association of America? I understand your acrostic poem now, and you used a new word, a very tragic write indeed, love Dolly x

Yes, Dolly, the National Rifle Association it is. The ones who like to make up ridiculous stories about these school shootings - like they are all staged events, using actors. Imagine how the parents of the children killed in these atrocities must feel when they hear that? Cheers, Craig

Straight and to the point! I think you nailed dead on. These shootings are stupid and so senseless. Very nicely written tribute to the kids of America! Sherman541

This speaks a violent straight approach with directive to America to take action to stop insanity and stop killing children; well said, well done. KEEP WRITING, TIP CHANGING. DR ALCREATOR
