Thank you so much for this wonderful instructive acrostic poem about the real St. Valentine. It does make us think how far we left the historical figure when it is all made into a commercial enterprise. I never knew the real story, just about a father exchanging notes while in prison.

This is a Valentine Contest Entree rich in Theme and imagery.
It flowed well and read well with no grammar issues as well.

Moonrise, I really like that you told the story of St. Valentine. No good deed goes unpunished, as he sadly learned. Emperor Claudius was technically correct in that soldiers do their job best when without other responsibilities. But soldiers are human and need love, too. Very well done! ;) Nancy
