God has given me lots of things to do before this. (Only training) But when I responded to His prompting, my inheritance on earth appeared, at age 70, Abraham's promise from God didn't appear till he was 100 and Sarah 92, without Isaac the nation's of the world could not be blessed. It showed me we must walk through every door He asks to walk though. Your dad was great in God's eyes. Bless you Linda. Roy

Jehovah God, humbles himself to deal with men who are merely dust. His Jesus the Christ, totally humbled himself by emptying himself of all his heavenly glory so that he could come to earth and live as a mere human man. The two greatest men in all of creation serve as perfect examples of humility, so who are we to walk around with our chests puffed up, acting like we have done something great while everything we have was given to us.

Thanks so much, I was at a bible study yesterday and we were discussing just that, If one's cup is full of self, how can God fill it? First empty the cup, thanks for these amazing words, review and stars, blessings Roy

Hi Roy,
this second poem just confirms my first reply to the first poem. You have been more pro-active in serving your master and yet do not demand anything in return. A real true hearted follower is all the reward that he asks for.
Well done to you.

So hard to find nowadays - that 'servant heart' attitude.
Leadership just seems to be instilled into every aspect of life. The poem flows beautifully, with a light touch of everyday humour, and carries a vital message.

Warmly,

Juliette

This follow up poem links the initial puzzling calling to the greater works and deeper connections you create when you follow the lead of the Holy Spirit. Good to share.

Good conclusion.
I found something I'm not sure of:
Though He is Lord, He washed their feet, but Peter said,"No way,
you are so great that we should fete (did you mean 'feet' but still sentence is a little hard to understand), so hear me when I say"

Hi Roy,

Your message reminds me of a favorite hymn, The Servant Song. My bathroom floor could use a good scrub. I guess I could do that. Maybe I will. I have to finish reading, reviewing, and posting first.

A wonderful message from part one. Yes, I do agree. Sometimes we don't understand why He is guiding us in a certain way. We might be confused, but only He knows the right passage for our lives. No one is too good to be what He asks of us. This is something I ignored in my young years, but now I understand. I feel grateful and blessed for everything He has given me.
Thank you Roy.
Always your fan,
Shana :)

I've never understand why certain people feel they're above jobs like cleaning. It's a very important task and actually can be quite satisfying especially if you take care to do your very best job.

A lovely story friend, Roy. Always wonderful to read your posts.

Thank you again, Roy, for sharing this wonderful spiritual insight. The Lord's ways are certainly not the way of the world and He modeled it all so very well for all of us.
