Hello Charlie
smiles you know how to keep the action going along with the western dialog
Plus I get a big kick out of Tumbleweed.

Good cliffhanger, C_Lucas. A good chapter whenever I read your stuff.

I found one typo:
Bring Lynda to me when Miguel arrives (you forgot the period)"

Please take care.

Well! Great action blended perfectly with professional quality dialogue too. Most impressive post Charlie. I wish I had your chapters on paper/book, so I could read it all together. Love the name Tunbleweed, ... we had a gorgeous Irish Setter come to our home years ago. She was a doll, and we advertised her. Some guy came and took her home. :/ But also, love the cliff hanger ending too! :)

Nice work Lucas. My attention span is short but this kept me entertained through out. Great description of character and scene. Felt like I was there. Thank you for the story

Your story telling is still notch as ever, Charlie. Concise and realistic dialogue as you advance your plot.

Looking forward to your next segment. :)

Hi, Charlie;
Uh-oh. It sounds as if Tumbleweed might be in a big load of trouble. So, now we need to wait and see if the double-barrelled shotgun met its mark, or when Tumbleweed got off the bed, did he sufficiently get out of the way?

Well done - I look forward to the next chapter,

~patty~

This is an interesting story, well-written, descriptive, I felt like I was there watching it all go down. The characters seem believable and dialogue natural. The plot moved along nicely, kept my attention start to finish. Great hook at the end. I felt sorry for the sheriff, in the beginning, everyone trying to dictate his job, but he handled it well.

Good morning, Charles

Enjoyed the post and I'm out of sixes. I was wondering when you'd post the next installment. (and I'm glad you did). Enjoyed the interaction between the men and I didn't expect the ending. I pray Tumbleweed survived the attack. Wow, I didn't expect the ending. WelI done!

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Wow, this chapter is action packed and you left us in great suspense at the conclusion! Your use of "growled" was very effective as was the focus on the expensive bath, especially with "two towels". Cheers- Joan

Hi, Charlie

Tumbleweed must have a sixth sense here:

"The young man quietly got off the bed and moved toward the door. Someone turned the doorknob and kicked the door open. Two barrels of a ten gauge shotgun boomed...'

Wow, quite an ending to this chapter.

:) Bev
