What a beauty Joan. How cool to be inspired by another's work. Something different in format too! I love the idea of stardust beaming down nurtured and complete. Sighs ... xx d

What a sweet, comforting tanks. I love your picot line. It works well with both halves of your poem. I wonder if you mean one constellation, or all of them. The apostrophe may be misplaced. We'll done. :) Nancy

I meant one constellation with the possessive. I am pleased you found the tanka "comforting" and the pivot line appealing. Smiles and happy Valentine's Day- Joan

So beautiful amd mystical as if stardust is casting spell upon people to make them fall in love. Such magic in the air and gives inspiration of joy to come. Awesome. Liberty justice

-Very nice image and presentation.
-A well written tanka with a good pivot line.
-Effective imagery and use of alliteration.
-The pivot line is also romantic, and
we can picture the stardust falling
on a couple in love.
-Good ending, as well, Joan.

Hello Joan,
This is a fine tanka poem with wonderful imagery
A very nice pivot line and excellent use of alliteration
The raindrops looks like stars in the constellation
and we certainly need all the universal love we can get
I prefer the succinct form you have used here
as it is more consistent with the essence of the original form
Perfect picture to match words
Beautiful tanka
RS

Many thanks for finding my succinct tanka and its theme appealing. I am delighted that you enjoyed the pivot line and use of alliteration. Thanks for seeing the raindrops as stars--that's how they struck me (pun intended!). Your six stars are very much appreciated. Hugs- Joan

I glad that you got inspired by reading Paul Blackburn's poem
I like the idea of how you started your poem with this line---
--constellation's, net it makes a starry tanka to read and review
