"Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul ..." Many poets write of the hope that is born anew each day. A true gift of God to we poor souls still trying to make sense of his universe. Beautiful mountain/valley metaphor, Roy. We'll done!. :) Nancy

Very insightful words. Well written and I must admit I read it twice. The last sentence says volumes and I will take that away with me, that we have been "gifted" the depth of life's mystique. Well done.

I love how expound upon various verses of the Bible. I always check because it is crucial to understanding your poem. I love the extended metaphor of morn's cradle. Each day we can start anew. That is quite a gift. I am pondering photo choice. Obviously I am missing something. I remain your biggest fan.

This poem reminded me of Psalm 23. Not sure why but it did. Once again you did a wonderful job writing this poem and I am glad you chose to share it with us.

A great little poem of hope, of that morning light that sweeps away the night. I liked the images, the upbeat tone, the jingling rhyme scheme. It all comes across as very rooted and grounded, like the mountains and the sunlight. It has a kind of determination about it, a faith, that is comforting to hear estory

Good morning, Roy
Enjoyed the poem and I'm out of sixes. This post was a challenge to understand.
The first two lines --
Yes, even in the darkest night
still shines the brightest star -- shows that God's love is still there, that there is hope.
The last two lines of each stanza presenting man with explanations of what could be.
Am I close?
Take care and stay safe,
Ray
PS: 8/2/2018 Looked at the date -- I didn't realize you're composing poems from the future lol

The combination of the picture and what was written is incredible. The children and words to define and the definition of hope in your poem. Thank you for sharing.
