I think a man's embrace may offer a sense of physical security, where a woman's offers the emotion stability and acceptance we all crave. Of course the sense of belong that is created though such intimate contact is a reward in itself. I love how your work makes the reader reflective of their own desires. Well done.

This is one of those occasions when doubling 5-7-5 does not equal 10-14-10. This tiny two stanza 5-7-5 sets out a wish in the first stanza and a factual statement relating to it in the second. Set together together they make an engaging poem but either has the poetic strength to stand alone.
