This is a beautiful poem that shows amazing insight and a gift with words. Thank you for sharing this piece. It sheds a new light on Proverbs 4:6-9. This poem also reminds me of the parable, in the bible, about the man who built his house on sand compared to the man who built his house on the rock.

These four simply aabb rhymed quatrains tell a simple truth of faith. It is so easy for the young but so hard to hold on to as you age but is one of the most important
things in life.

I can tell you have been writing along time. It definitely shows. I used to be in art as long as I can remember. In college I got burned out and got into fitness. In 2005, I got a passion in reading romance and fantasy novels. Then in 2014, I came up with this story and decided to try and make a go at writing. I've never had any classes, just here on FanStory. So now, I enjoy entertaining readers with my story. I have definitely learned a lot here, especially from kind and talented people like you. There are a few mean people out there that has been negative toward my writing, but with my strong desire, I keep at it.

I've never had classes either dear Shana, just what I've picked up here, I didn't know there were so many forms, I was, a prolific songwriter over many years, that helped. But you are a natural dear girl, one can't teach that,

I like Thomas Jefferson. He wrote the book of Common Sense. It's very intellectual. He was a US president, democratic, federalist with face plastered on the $2 USD. However, I heard he cheated on his wife with a black women. It's like historical fact. Sad but true. Let us pray for monogamous love relationships for every couple.

Anyways, this was a wonderful commemorative poem. Good author notes too.

"It's not with naked eyes men see, but with the soul - on bended knee..." How true, and how very beautiful your poem.

I've had as much snub as I can put up with, so I won't be posting for awhile, but I will try to review for those I love to read. Few will miss me anyway. And no - I'm not sad, so don't worry, my friend. I am angry. It's wasted effort. Even things I have pointed out as being wrong in reviews (and not docked a star for) are ignored, and then later, claimed as being that person's idea, with accolades given for the things I taught.

I get little respect. I don't need this aggravation anymore. I'm not some kid who can put up with schoolyard nonsense. I'll be 66 in a few days. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know.
