As a teacher, I've seen how unnatural, sadly, it is to many kids to give compliments. I like how your story encourages that. Role modeling is always important, as is role play and further practice. Maybe I will see this book in my school some day!

Bullying has been around for long time only the method of solving now hangs in the balance. You have a good solution. Nothing wrong I find. Good dialog.

This story had an impact on me for I was gratified in the knowledge that I had been a good teacher. I did this and similar activities with my students. To recognize the positive in others is inflating to self image. This author did an excellent job penning this. It was a hopeful read and I wish all young ones would have the pleasure to read it also. Well done. It is worthy of sharing.

:) Blessings,
Brigitte

TEACHERS AND CAREGIVERS, PLEASE, STOP AT THIS POINT AND TAKE A TURN WITH THE SAME EXERCISE THAT FLOWER AND THE CHILDREN DID.
*IMPORTANT TEACHERS/AIDES/PARENTS/CAREGIVERS ALSO PARTCIPATE AND HAVE FUN!' Horrendous bullying shaped me partly into the very nervous person I am today. I used to be full of confidence now it only appears occasionally. No-one seems to realise the things that happened, if they happened to an adult over many years, would crush them completely and would also be a matter for the police. I love these flower power reads. Both children and teachers could learn from them. Fantastic work as always Rasmine. You make learning fun and I really hope these stories get publish one day. You deserve it most heartily love and regards Meia xx

Me too, Meia. I really want to help. I am not reliable to work as a teacher, so I have to use my education somehow. I have an MS in it.
    TY, for reading this.

I think that this is a great idea. I think you could have maybe been a bit more creative with the characters in this story, say animals versus flowers, for kids. Most kids when starting school are not bullies, but by the time they have 3 years in some become very big and prominent bullies. So, so sad. I wish we could find a way to get past the racial issues and the bullies. Perhaps, you need to write a more modern version of this :) It could end up in the school system. Great idea - Sherman

TY, Sherman. Wow, that may be something. TY, for the ideas! :)

You are welcome, PS I only said a more modern version, because you said you wrote so long ago and it was very old. :)

No, I wrote it last year, but it isn't fresh! TY, :)

Good morning, Rasmine

Enjoyed the read. The flow was good and I didn't see any spags. Liked your approach to stop bullying in the classroom. Being a teacher for over thirty years I unfortunately had seen my share of it. Well done.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

This was presented in a somewhat unusual style but the message is very important. We really need to teach children at a very young age not to be bullies. Children can be both amazingly accepting and quite cruel but are capable of learning what is and isn't acceptable.

OH wow I love it and I am so glad you did this one. Even though written awhile ago, you did an excellent piece on the problems that doesn not stop

I hope that can help, but I know it won't solve everything. But if they could get exercises in every classroom across the USA -- maybe the world -- it would help!
TY, Barb, for reading this. :)

Another great lesson not only for the young ones
but for everybody. The younger one starts with
self-love the better for them and those around them.
No matter how well-meant, loving others begins from
loving oneself first.

Well done, Rasmine.

That was brilliant, Rasmine, it's such a good learning tool to have children and grown-ups do that. I will see if I can get my grandchildren together and see what they have to say about each other. lol, I think my youngest grandson will be too shy to say anything nice to the others even though they all get along so well. ~Well done, Rasmine, I enjoyed reading that. :) Sandra xxx

TY!! :) You said some really nice things. :) It made my day!
Yes, have your grandchildren do it -- don't forget to do it yourself and their parents also, :P Awesome!
