I like the way the poem seems to sing, partly from the paired couplets, partly the use of rhyme and repetition. I always feel awkward when a poem changes from one stanza form to the another, true it does follow a stanza with change. I can relate to the poem and enjoyed reading it.

As a babyboomer, I can honestly say, I thought in my later years the world would have learned so much more about war, politics and having consideration of others. What I've observed is, we have learned nothing in fifty years. Perhaps I'm just older, but as you speak of youth and hope, I too wonder where they've gone. Best wishes.

What an excellent job of showing what shaped the baby boomers and the impact they had. I remember seeing the crowds gathered at Harvard Square and all the protests going on. A time of peace came, at least for a while. You have some shrewd observations. The attitude of your generation really comes through. Excellent use of rhyme. judi

I think my parents are considered baby boomers. They things you have seen have been incredible but I think that's how each generation is at a certain point. At some point I will wonder where my youth went. Great job
