Happy New year SUGARRAY77: I am a children's writer. I have been one for numerous years. During that time I've written many poems for our children. That's why I can relate to your poem, Baby Toes. I would recommend this poem to any parent, to share with their children. Good job. Well done. rhonnie69.

Dear Mystery Poet,
This is a sweet poem about counting baby toes. My granddaughter, Molly, loves when I do This Little Piggy with her toes. I'm not sure a baby would catch on to counting by twos and threes. However, just talking to kids provides wonderful stimulation.
I enjoyed your rhymes and silly words like toodles and woodles at the beginning of each stanza.
Best wishes in the contest.
Sincerely Joy xx

Thanks so much. I look forward to being a grandparent. Dr. Seuss inspired the silliness.

Hahaha. You'd be surprised to learn how many children know what "google" is and does, Anonymous, heh-heh.
Or maybe you wouldn't.
Regardless of that, this was an outstanding rhyming poem for children, very cute. It's exactly the kind of poetry kids adore.
Good luck to you in the contest.

A very well-written fun poem about babies' toes. Babies love it when we play with their toes and sing a song that goes along with the wiggling of their toes. The bottom foot of the baby on the photo seems to only have four toes.

Thanks so much. I thought there were four toes too, but finally made out the fifth one.

This is two children's poems in a row that showed up for review and I feel young again. I like the goofy and fun word choices (toodles, woodles, shuzzle, duzzle), but my spell-checker did not. If the purpose of a children's poem is to bring joy to the mind of a child, you did that well with this 60 year old boy. I really liked it. It felt like something that could be read to a child when preparing for bed. Good luck in the booth.

This is a wonderful poem for all the young mothers and/ or grandmothers out there. Wonderful use of imaginative onomatopoia to begin the first three stanzas. I can almost see those toes being counted.

I think this is a very good entry for the 'Children's Rhyming Poem' writing prompt.
Well written and well said. What is it about baby parts that make adults act like kids?
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.

Absolutely an adorable poem. I love the made-up words, they fit just fine here. This is a fun verse to read to kids, I think it would make them giggle - as it did me!
