This is priceless :) I love the picture and can't stop looking at it. At first I thought he was tossing candies in the air to catch in his mouth, then I realized that is a hat decoration with feathers. I'm such a numpy this morning lol! (that was your cue to laugh politely). Your sonnet is delightful. Light and hearty as this knight in shining armor thinks with his boy parts. I absolutelu adore the expression, "oh woe be me". It hits the spot perfectly for comedic timing. I have been known to say, "woe is me" so you caught my attention with your own version. I think, "myst'ry" shortened in this way suits the knights personality. I usually scoff at such shortenings when I come across them, but never out loud to bring it to the attention to the poet.
This is a fine sonnet, and I hope to see more of your humor just like this. Perhaps you could give this knight a name and do a series of sonnets on his adventures.
Congratulations on placing third in this contest. Well done!

There's a lot to be said for someone with brains over brawn or beauty, whether they be male or female.
Good iambic pentameter all throughout, Mikey.
Heck, you even included a volta in line nine.
The rhyming couplet brought it all home.
It's unusual to see a humorous Shakespearean sonnet, heh-heh.

Well, I'm glad he got the girl. I'm guessing it was his sword (words?) that won her in the end. I'm not sure if "whoa" is the right word. Shouldn't it be "Woe?" Or was it a pun to refer back to reigning in his horse or himself?
