Comment from Pantygynt
You have risen to the challenge so well here catching the broken backed angle of old Father Time with his scythe perfectly. The New Year's babe is perhaps less obvious but, given the context and the juxtaposion of the two images, the whole works really well.

A clever and quick witted write and now we are in our new year and the old one is history, I am finding it hard to refer to December as last year when it was only last week! Love Dolly x

As far as my painting I have a Corel photo shop program and use some of the tools there to take a photo of something , then put it on the program and use the tool to create what appears as art instead of photos. The first program I had is no long compatible with windows, which upset me as it was the easiest program to use, each new generation the programs have been more difficult to use. Tje first generation was called Corel Painter Classic.

I like your Calligram. I'm going to have to try one myself, one of these days.
Your poem is well written. Concise with a clear message.
Altogether well done. Thank you for sharing this.

Cool format, Tom. A Calligram, you say?
I must admit, I've never heard of it until now. Is it something you created?
It's like piecing a puzzle together in a message of words.
And since you've so graciously told us all what it says, may I respond by saying...
to you and yours.
Hope your 2018 is filled with happiness and success.

Thank you Dean. Guillaume Apollinaire was a famous calligram writer and author of a book of poems called Calligrammes. His poem written in the form of the Eiffel Tower is an example of a calligram. If you google him you'll find it quite interesting. With your skills, I'm sure the you could do some.

Thanks for the info, Tom.
I'll check it out.

Hi there;
Thank you so much for sharing your Calligram. It does look like it would be a tricky bit of poetry to pull off. Your artwork does a good job of getting the words across. Happy New Year to you, too.
