Very funny, Christine. But I have to say the glossary at the bottom helped a lot...
I think in this line:
Instead, I'm just an Ocker whose 'True Blue', it should say who's instead of whose.
Thanks for sharing.

Happy New Year to you! Thanks for the poem in real 'strine - (is that right?) I like that we have so many different types of English represented here. Hope this New Year will give you many happy events to write about!

What is that charming critter? Is it an ostrich? I think I followed the gist of your yabba, a poem with your Aussie spin on the words. I find it fascinating that we may all speak the same language but use words so differently. Happy New Year back to you. Marilyn

Emu had me snoockered there for a min.but she'll be apples mate, fair dinkum will prevail. The English will get hammered, the Irish sober until the next drink on the bar, the Scots for someone else to pay. The Aussies raise hell. So have at it Christine, raise your glass to friends, family God, and have a great 2018
Hugs, Trisha

This was so well done Christine. Wishing you a Happy New Years as well. It is noon here on Dec 31/17 so we are still building up to it but we will get there lol. I loved the picture and the use of the local language- I am thankful that another writer has bonded with me and I have learned so much and have probably asked some silly questions, but received great answers. This was very enjoyable and endearing. Thank you so much.
