Oh yeah, what a good choice for this contest.....
Many a time I sat out on the back porch...
mellowing out from a hectic day,
but smelling that scent of Jasmine,
done took my blues away!...
To bad you can't make that smell come out....
It would blow the voters away!.... Good Luck!!

Jasmine and Honeysuckle are two of my favorite outdoor scents.
Your use of capitalization and punctuation in this shows that you obviously know the difference between 5-7-5 poetry and haiku.
