Your imagination is in full form and shows in this poem. I must say I struggled with the number of large words and had to stop and figure them out to proceed. Not a smooth read for me. Good luck on the contest.

Well, children learn from their environment and upbringing. Oftentimes what we lack as children, we seek as an adults. Your story addresses this issue quite well.
