I would love to hear this set to music. It is so calming and soothing and full of hope.
This was my favorite part:
Gentle, gentle was the night when Jesus Christ was born;
Gentle beasts came forth to see Him on that Christmas morn.
Gentle in the way He taught, with love and kindness, too;
And strength to do the things his Father wanted him to do.

I like that part, too, but I also wanted to make it relate to today-- to maybe make people think.
