I like how you have paired your photos with the poem to illustrate what the Speaker hopes for. He does remind us of the bookends of our lives and how "loving arms" are what we all crave ultimately.

With that said, this little tyke has just come into the world so the "finish" should be the furtherest thing from his mind right now.

After all, he's gotta get busy with his/her main vocation in life.
