Nice job on the rewrite. I always thought that story was silly. No one can feel anythng put under twenty mattresses. LOL! I think the cat was the only smart one there. :)

A very well-written story and an excellent twist on the tale of the Princess and the pea. A very clever cat to know what the Queen's agenda was and the princess played her role well and get more than just a pair of shoes.

Ahh, I liked this a lot. A re-take on Hans Christian Anderson's Fairy tail that the only thing that would prove she was a real princess was to put a pea under a number of mattresses. When she complained how badly she'd slept the prince knew she was a real princess. One of my favourite fairy tails. You did a great job on this, and good luck. I'm Danish after all. Brought up with the fairy tales of his. Sorry, I got carried away. All the best. Ulla:)))
