Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Good morning, Brett: This was a wonderful surprise. I remember when I was diagnosed with Heel Spurs,at one point in time they were saying that my symptoms were more of Gout but the Dr. later said it was Heel Spurs.

I wondered then what exactly Gout was. I heard that it was a very painful condition. I promised to look into Gout but I never did. I was happy to see this post because you have thoroughly explained it. WOW! You are such an exceptional writer. I truly appreciated this information and it was great to hear from you again.

Hi Brett. Lots of big words and medications in your article. I understood for a change what you were talking about as my son has gout and the allopurinol is the one he takes too. Says it's a miracle drug! Great article. I'm glad your friend outted you! you are great at these. xoxo Kiwi

Wow Brett, gout sounds like a terrible affliction to get. I wouldn't wish it on anybody
I feel for your suffering. At least I don't drink and are reasonably fit so hopefully that is enough to stave it off. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Brett. Your article on gout is well written. Many people suffer from this ailment, including yourself as you mention. It's informative and helpful for those seeking to learn about it. I think adhering to the proper diet can help prevent recurrences. Marilyn

No shellfish, no red meat, no drinks sweetened with fructose, and no fried foods.

Those are the recommended diet limitations of this ailment.

Appreciate you taking the time to read this article and to write a review.

That is my diet of choice. I'm vegetarian and don't drink. I DO succumb to the lure of french fries now and again and always battling the yen for sugar.

I read every word of this Brett! I slowly said out aloud the hard words until I 'got ' them. I'm like that with medical stuff. You poor man. My heart goes out to you. I read articles like this about my own ailments and having Knowledge doesn't help the pain AT ALL does it? Your picture is a brilliant show of the pain you must suffer with this horrid thing. Do you prefer to tell people this kind of stuff rather than whimper or scream in pain when you have visitors. I do. It takes my mind off things and leaves the visitors with very blank looks on their faces and perhaps a wan smile. Hope you're not suffering from it or any of it's nasty hangers-on now, cheers, Anita.

Most of the time I suffer with the gout in silence.
reply by Anio on 04-Dec-2017
Dear Brett, this is one of the times when I wish I could turn back the clock! I wish I had NOT written that nonsense about the visitors in my reply. This is a dangerous sign of aging that is appearing a bit too often for my liking! It was an attempt at a joke and a miserable one that I would like not to be associated with me, but now it is - bugger.
I too deal with my pain mostly alone, medicated, in silence, writing, occasionally a poem or snoozing and meditating. When a couple of very old and dear friends want to know details then I can tell them and that's why I read those articles so thoroughly and am familiar with the task.

A very well-written article. I suffer some paib for the past three weeks. At first my hips slipped out and I have treatment for that which is less painful but I still suffer pain concentrate in my right foot across all my toes especially at night. I don't drink alcohol or fructose drinks, but I am suffering the pain you describe here.

Well, now I know more than I've ever wanted to know but I liked reading this because it lets us into another part of you life. I feel like I know you better. I had warts on my feet of years and years. Nothing worked so the doctor got this special acid from a special pharmacy and it caused blood blisters on my feet...I work retail and had to stand on them. After a treatment I usually never made it a full day at work but I generally went for a couple hours before I'd give in and go home. Feet issues are the worse

I've heard it called the rich man's disease, tho certainly not all sufferers are rich. I don't have it myself, but I undersstand it's extremely painful and doesn't always respond to medication. Hope yours is feeling better.

This is an interesting read although heart wrenching.
I admit that I have never experienced gout, and pray I never do.
I feel for you for having to deal with this.
Your picture really gets the point across
