Great artwork you've used for your lovely L alliteration 2-4-2 poem. I hope you're not going to concentrate on this short form Craig, 'cause you do great long poems too.
cheers,
valda

Hi Valda. No, I don't have any intention of giving up on the "proper-length" poems - it just seems there have been a lot more contests for the shorter forms lately. Plus, I've joined giraffemang's story group, so I've been doing a bit more of that lately. But I'm looking forward to getting back to familiar territory soon, I hope. Cheers, Craig

No Noels, indeed : )

I think this short, simple poem is effective in a flash of 'L' words working in harmony to produce an upbeat feeling, and it contains the better parts of humanity, perhaps the three best. Sometimes it seems there's so many glimpses of the ugly available, that it's easy to forget about the better aspects.

The alliteration is nicely symmetric. The words sounded good in my ear.

Thanks for the lovely rating and the encouraging words, Turtle. Sometimes I think I go a bit overboard on the "dark side", and need to remind myself it's not all "doom and gloom". As weird as things can get, these things give us reason to hope. So grateful that you stopped by to review. Much appreciated - Craig

Hi there;
This IS a very pleasant two-four-two. It is my mantra of sorts, and I have the words, 'Live, 'Love, and 'Laugh all throughout my house. Kind of like I have to constantly remind myself.

I think in the face of some not so pleasant stuff we all seem to go through, we all need to remind ourselves from time to time. Thanks for the lovely review, Patty.

This is very nice and an upbeat small poem that speaks of what life is all about. Each day offers us something special, whether good or not, to make the best of it. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

A very well-written 2-4-2 poem. Love in our hearts light up the light in our eyes, we laugh easier and learn to live with what we have and be grateful for everything we have.

This short piece of 2-4-2 gives a nicely done reminder that living is not always stress filled like we like to make it, it is full of much more

Thanks again for reviewing. Life's like that, as you say. Not always beer and skittles, not always bad either. I guess it's a cliche, but taking the good with the bad seems the only way to go. Cheers, Craig.

This speaks a series and cohesion of living as if living should be like this for happy and progressive living as there is no chance of experiencing failure; I like. DR ALCREATOR

Hi Craig, you've penned another short poem with clever play on words in the title and the content. I like that you kept the subject matter light hearted and the poem itself flows well due to good use of poetic sound devices. Great word economy again.

Thanks, Pam, for the kind words. Yes, I kind of put myself in a downer mood with the previous offering, and I didn't want to start out what promises to be a great, fun weekend in that frame of mind. Hence, this little offering. Cheers, Craig :)

Aww, the four L's, which are critical L's to deal with life in general. We live, love, laugh and learn.

Ironically, my poetry book collection is divided into four chapters, which are titled: living, loving, losing and learning. The powerful L's.

Thank you for the remainder to follow the 4 L's. :)

Oh, that's too close - still, I guess they would pretty much top everybody's list of important things to do - well, most sensible peoples', anyway. Thanks for the kind words, I must check out your collection :) Craig

Well, I only have hard copies of my book. However, some of the poems are in my FanStory portfolio. Thank you for the interest.
