It's sad but it cause me to give a slight smile. Aren't all of our fates a mystery? I think so. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your contest entry and wish you luck.

I like this entry for the One Line Poem contest.
The picture is beautiful and matches the poem perfectly.
It made me chuckle. What is his fate indeed?
Good luck to you with the competition.
Sharon

Not easy to make a one sentence poem. But you managed very well. The photo, that complements your poem is very nice. You say a lot in this one line poem. Best wishes for the contest.

Do you think a Mr Jones, if he saw fame approaching would change his name? I can't believe there has never been a famous Jones so I think he must have done. This monostitch got me smiling.

Hi, Michael;
Alas, poor Mr. Jones. His life came to some sort of end. Will we ever find out why? Not in a one-line poem!

Well done, my friend. Thought provoking and fun.

Hello again Michael. Goodness you've been busy! I'm not sure what a monostitch is so I guess I'd better look it up, however, this is a clever little bit of writing. Good luck. xoxo deborah

A very well-written one-line poem. A grave in the middle of nowhere with only a name on is mysterious and we always wonder what his fate could have been to land himself in this situation.

Interesting approach to the contest. I like how the epithet speaks not of his past but his present and future - still a mystery, as who know what happens after death. thought provoking. Well presented. See, even though you'd been laughing about it, now you see you CAN write a one-liner that prompts thought!

Good luck, dear Mike.

Warmly, rd

Good one, Michael :) Monostitch is funny too.

I couldn't come up with a one liner if I tried. I love all the entries. Original and funny. I love it when Fanstorians put their best efforts forward and makes the competition tight. Good luck to you.

Okay so I must take that back. I thought monostitch was that poetry form where all the lines rhyme the same. I'm a twit. tsk tsk.
