He, he, he. This is rich. So true though. I have no idea how in hell this creepo or the fools who support him can look in a mirror. I bet there's no reflection. So far, nothing tops this. NG

I'm not too sure who Roy Moore is, Michael, as I'm not too hip on television evangelists.
In fact, I have about as much use for 'em as Native American Indian merchants on reservations have for taxed cigarettes.
I will look him up however just to see what he's all about.
'Evangelical...' great five syllable word to begin the first line of your poem.
Oh, okay. I see he's a candidate for a Senate seat who's been accused of improper conduct concerning underage teenage girls.
H-mmmmmm...
At least it isn't teenage boys.

The list of creeps is staggering. He's at the top though AND he has tons of support, that's even more bothersome. Thanks a million, Dean. Mr. Obvious. LOL

you have penned an interesting and no holds barred 5/7/5
meets the prompt very well indeed
yes;- it is a crying shame that one BAD apple can ruin the reputation of even all the good fruit

It is a drag as there are indeed MORE decent folk then there are people like him. BUT the people that support him shock me even more. Thanks so much. :))
Comment from Gloria ....
Haaaaa, this cartoon is hilarious especially given that Roy Moore is such a fanatic about the ten commandments and breaks them all.the.time. Thou Shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour is a big one and he is doing it on a continuous basis.
Roy Moore holds a privileged position in a protective culture where men get away with whatever they can get away with.
Anyway best wishes to you in the contest. You'll likely cause a stir with this little gem.

Jeesh. What a shame that being the biggest liar in town is NOT his worst transgression. And WOW, he's still supported by half the voters. Enjoy Canada. How's that wall coming? :))

Men tend to have their excuses for their misdeeds. They never blame themselves. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Roy Moore was the first person I thought of when I saw this writing prompt. Such a terrible story and situation. At this point, it's no longer a surprise to read headlines and see another prominent figure connected with harassment allegations.
Any, this piece made me chuckle a bit.

Glad you got a chuckle. Any suggestions?Three stars indicates the need for major work. :))

I fixed it. I had selected 5 stars, i thought, but switched it somehow.
-
Oh. Hey, thanks a lot. No worries, I've done that a thousand times. :))

It's funny how men in power fall in this area time after time without learning from history! A moment of madness and their life changes forever, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Ouch. This is a good 5-7-5 poem and it definitely tells the story.
The cartoon would be funny if the subject weren't so serious.
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.

Cheers anonymous poet;
-all I have to say for this 5/7/5 worded formatted poem you sure have a lot of words in that box and picture.
-It's very good but I think it's your poetic license of having too many words to express a 17 syllable poem with 30 syllables on top of that. I'm sorry, but good luck in the light contest.

Good point, Alex. I think the 5-7-5 stands on its own, but I suppose it could do without the extra artwork. Glad you liked it though.

I think of one overlooks the extra words and syllables I think this could win.

All I can say is that I wish I had a six star review rating to award this poem.
Best of luck in the writing prompt contest. You certainly have no holds barred, but this is perfect because it seems, neither does he, especially after what was on the news this morning about the soldier's wife.
All the best

Beautifully put, Jan, and I couldn't agree more. I'll take the encouraging words over stars any day. Thanks so much. :))
