This was never a protest about the military. This is because of racism and how the cops treat others and maybe abuse their power. It's a peaceful protest. It was made into something it was never even suppose to be. I read a comment on a post that from someone who fought for our freedom and his comment basically said that he fought for our freedom of speech. He fought so we could do these peaceful protests. He fought so we can do this. There is nothing wrong in what they are doing. I will continue to watch football. Great job

I totally agree with you here in Britain it is the same, there are more other races than English I am not a racist at all but there have been talks of making the flag neutral and such, it is so unfair, this is a great topical poem kindest regards Meia xx

People have lost their sense. Remove the anthem, 'kneel' instead of stand. A shame. If they weren't getting the publicity, they wouldn't do it. I love America, and I am 100 percent red, whit, and blue!! Loved this, blessings....

HI Dan, our men and women for many years have carried Old Glory in battle...it characterize the country they fought and died for...they held it high with pride...cried when it fall...IT HAS A MEANING TO OUR COUNTRY....and if people coming here from other counties don't like it...LEAVE...that flag welcomes them here...be grateful for it as we are...I'm sick of us having to change our counties scenery...what we are and stand for... for people from other counties...this is the USA...if you don't like what you see when you get here...no one is making you stay...I am not a racist...I am a proud American...and I love our flag and what she stands for...very well written...wish I had a six...******...perrrrfect picture...love Linda xxoo

This is a very well written poem about a subject that I care a great deal about. I am an old Vietnam vet of the sixties and every time I see or hear about people dishonoring our Flag and National Anthem it makes me feel belittled.

Yes, these are sad times indeed. No one is taught early to respect the traditions of the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the National Anthem. There are many who don't even know the words!
