Hello BRIGITTE ELKO: You are right. Seeing someone cry evokes a reaction. Back in the days when I was born, sometimes, when a child was born someone held them by their ankles, dangled them upside-down, and swatted their bottom. Need I mention that (hopefully) the child's reaction was to cry? And some people's reaction to seeing that was a feeling of joy and happiness, because this meant that the child had taken it's first breath of life, and was alive. I've wondered, I mean I've really wondered, what reaction did that child's mother have seeing her child cry. Then I've asked myself: "How many times have you cried since your first cry. And why did you cry? And why did you cry that first cry? And for your very last cry: what will be its reason? And as for the people who see you crying, if any, what will their reaction be? Your poem is very interesting, BRIGITTE. I like it. It's thought provoking, and imagery stroking. Thank you for sharing. rhonnie69.

Wow, this an awesome review for my poem. A song, a memory, a child's smiles of delight, etc. all can bring this emotional outburst forth. I thank you gratefully for reading between the lines and commenting so thoroughly.

A very well-written heartfelt poem. It is very hard to see someone cry especially when that person is in pain or have heartache, we will soon have a tear in our own eyes as well.

I hate that when you cry you are showing everyone that you are having a moment. Why are we ashamed to cry? Why don't we like others to watch us cry? I mean we all do it, right? Yet, I'd rather fart a nasty, smelly fart than someone see me cry. Huh. lol. Great job.

Nicely formed poem in this form. It offers up the knowledge that someone shedding tears is being human and they are at a shaky point at the moment so care should be offered. Many forget human's cry for a purpose, both relief and as a message to others. Enjoyed reading it.
