Lol! Loved it Auntie. Well done you! Keep up the great work. I would like to read more on this short story. It has a lot of potential. I like stories with humor and listen to the a lot. Keeps me in good humor while at work. Good luck in the contest and see you soon.

Hi Angie. I'm just now getting around to answering my reviews. It was great to see you and John on Thanksgiving. Looking forward to seeing you again at Christmas. I wish we lived closer so I could spend more time with you. Glad you liked my silly story.

Well, didn't this make me laugh. You have captured the contrast between the elderly and the younger generation with captivating humour. I live with my 81 year old Mum and have had plenty of conversations like this as her hearing isn't too good. Your writing delivers crisp and comic banter between the two characters that is a pleasure to read.

Thank you for sharing

Thank you for reading and the six stars. I'm 71 and getting hard of hearing myself. this is what gave me the idea of the story I think. It is especially hard for me to understand conversations on the phone.

Hello, :)

This is hilarious. LOL! I live in a disabled/elderly housing and I run into this a lot. I also talk soft, so that adds to the problem.

I found these parts very entertaining and hysterical:
Well, I never....why on earth would you want to hump my car? It might be interesting to watch, but I can't see how it will get my car started. Sounds all right youngster, but I'm warning you, I have a can of pepper spray and I know how to use it (one suggestion, maybe you could say 'I know how to use it', in another way cause this phrase has been way overdone -- just a suggestion, though.).

Good luck in the contest.

Thanks. Yeah, you might be right about that one phrase. However, I believe that is exactly the way an old person would say it. I know I use that phrase (I know how to use it or do It) quite often, and at 71, I qualify as an elderly person. LOL

This speaks a good experience over convention, people do ever complain about generation gap and miscommunication between elder and younger; but not essentially always; I liked.(6-STAR)

Wonderful! This is such a delightful humor it made me smile for the first time today. I'm also hard of hearing and my son loves to tease me about it. Sometimes it is fun to find that what I THOUGHT I heard was far from actuality, so I can really relate with this story.

I couldn't stop laughing and had trouble writing this review because of this hilarious piece of writing. It has been a long time since I read something that made me laugh as hard as something being said in actual words by a live person.

LOL I enjoyed this.

My favorite part:

Are you being funny again, young man? That's the problem with young people today, no respect for their elders. Do you realize that what you are doing could be considered elder abuse? I have half a notion to turn you in to AARP.

Hahahahahaha.

No suggestions for corrections. It was great.

Thanks, and glad you liked it. This sort of came from my own experiences. It is hard for me to hear on the phone and I'm 71 this year.
