Hmmmm - how odd. Sounds like 8 to me but you are right, the syllable counters say otherwise.


First review (FOUR stars)


I love the fog too. Impressionism by Nature indeed. Nice alliterate and consonance of M sounds in misty, impressions and mellowing as well as consonance of W in the last line. Lovely presentation.

Only one issue is the middle line is 8 syllables and this is a 5-7-5 contest (reason for four stars). You could remedy this by trimming the filler word BY. Example:

impressionistic Nature


Good luck. Happy to upgrade if you fix line two to seven syllables.

Thanks for the read. I checked with a syllable dictionary at https://www.howmanysyllables.com/syllable_counter/ says line two has seven syllables as written. Thanks for the feedback. Is the dictionary incorrect?
