It is hard to come up with a story idea that will be seen as relevant. Everyone has so many different interests, and there are those who refuse to read anything in a certain genre, or containing a warning of some sort.

It is hard to come up with a story idea that will be seen as relevant. Everyone has so many different interests, and there are those who refuse to read anything in a certain genre, or containing a warning of some sort.

Thanks, Patty for responding. Relevant is really the wrong word for the title because it has no relations with what I talked about. When I used the word current, I was thinking in terms of having more recent work instead of the old ones setting on my page. Sometimes I don't think about what to write about until it has been written. By the way, I was angry with you because you called me out on a poorly written story. Please, for give me. My patient gets short when I attempt to handle more than I should. I get a little too ambitious and blind when I don't take a minute and relax. I think better when I'm rested. Now, I will re-fan you since I've cleared my conscience.

I'm a single guy who lives along which means I have to pick myself up whereas couples pick each other up. Our lifestyle, understanding, experiences, education, and etc are different. So, communication is all we have to understand each other. I can't unload my concerns on anyone. I have the responsibility to manage myself. It's not royal life. I hope you understand without me making our friendship more complicated than I'm already made it. I appreciate you being a good lady. Now, I do want your best suggestions whenever you think I need to know something. Feel free, Patty.

Advice is great but there will be an awful lot of it and it is sifting through that advice for what works for you that is the key thing. not all advice is helpful or right unfortunately. The best thing is to research for yourself for things.

I think we have to find our own voice. We should listen to what others tell us and accept what makes sense to us. Not just follow opinions blindly.

On the subject of readership, as a rule whether I put up my story for two days or four days (the most I've put up my posts for), I have only a few devoted and supportive readers who look at my work and give me reviews. On average I have between 6 to 10 reviews per post, mostly six. But I'm happy with that because I know these are readers who really like my story (not the funny money) and give me valuable feedback.

I add and take away works to read as I struggle to improve. I do this to keep from getting behind on what I attempt to learn. I try organizing my study time this way. It has nothing to do the author's skill because all of them are better and educated writers. Thanks for reading, apky.

Hey, you are improving every single day. I used to believe that some of us are born with a good ear for language--some are--and others with a gift for storytelling, but that few could do both. Some writing can be learned. You had the storytelling part, you just needed to bone up on grammar. You are writing soooo much better now. I for one, encourage you to keep it up.
