I hope he doesn't do anything else when he falls asleep. That can be scary when you fall asleep with a cigar in your hands but I completely get it. I read a story once about a family that had been in a really bad car accident and needed surgery so they called the surgeon in. He came in and the family was trying to talk to him and he was very short with them. So, he goes in and does the surgery and comes out and tells them it's all good. Again they had questions and he was very short with them and left. The parents made a comment to the nurse about how rude he was and she responded with how his son just died. When they paged him in to operate on their son he was at his sons funeral. He left his kids funeral to save their sons life. He came in and did what he had to do with that little boy but left right away after to go and mourn with his family again. It broke my heart and that's the first thing I thought of when I read your comment about how he was nicer than you first remembered. We never know what they have going on. What's important is that they can come in and do what they need to do. Hopefully things get better friend

Please, be very careful with mixing sleeping pills and alcohol because that can be a deadly combination!!!
Yes, try to find another medication. I know a woman who is very addicted to oxycontin, and she had serious stomach issues. :(
