This is an interesting poem with a different format. I liked how you made it simple, yet complex. You used all lowercase letters and very little punctuation, and you added vivid descriptive details. I also feel like it had a very dramatic ending with "poet" and "plant" both being individual lines. Excellent job. I look forward to reading more of your poems!

Much like I have said before on style written poems, it takes away from so many beautiful creative thoughts, forces the poet to compress and squeeze in words and strips their imagination. I love free flowing words and I hope you do well if this is for a contest.

I like the way you have developed this metaphor in your Nonet. The growth of a plant, the unfurling of its leaves and its blossoming are apt parallels with the process of creative writing.

Hi there;
Thank you for sharing this poignant poem told from a flower's point of view. I like the thought of 'songs arrive in my flowering soul.'
Well done,

"Poet plant" is such lovely metaphor to describe how writer's work blossoms. Indeed, author produces musical notes and enhances his writings through flowering of his petals stretching out and growing. NICELY DONE. LOL liberty justice

What a stunning image to accompany your lyrical poem,
"songs arrive in my flowering soul
rhythm, rhyme escape my petals
lively musical notes bloom"
Good word choice and nicely expressed.

-Lovely image and nice presentation.
-Very nice nonet for the contest, mermaids.
-Syllable count is good.
-I like the imagery and comparisons
of the plant to music and the ending
with "poet and plant."
-It is very imaginative and a good entry.
-Good luck.

I enjoyed your equating yourself as a poet to a flower! Your use of the nonet form was very effective for this theme and your artwork selection plus presentation were striking. Cheers- Joan

This speaks the state of the art existence of a flower poet plant having the soul of a flower full of songs with rhythm and rhyme as the petals bloom musically allure beautifully; I liked.
