Five stars because I love it, very descriptive and well written BUT I probably should have given it a 4 because 'he is hungry' is 4 syllables. Can fix with 'he's hungry' or whatever you decide. (Giving you a 5 with confidence you'll fix it) :-) Beautiful choice of artwork. Also - author's notes - ...perch [[Im - in]] trees. (I love Whippoorwills) Great poem!
