Yes, so many doors for knowledge to open! Amazing how very much we learned when young, now we (I) balk at learning anything!! Loved this!! Blessings...

Wonderful extrapolation DD!
The light of knowledge shines; they who capture its glow
hold the keys to unlock the door and answer opportunity's
knock!!

Leineco, thank you so much for the 'claps'. I really enjoyed reading your review. You (and another) seemed to have fully grasped my play on words and its deeper meaning. Thank you for that :-) ~DD

This is a wonderful response to the picture challenge. Ingenious in a 5-7-5 form. I think "as opportunity knocks" is a cliche, but it works very well in this case. I love it.

Wonderful words to accompany the photo. I wish you well in the contest. Knowledge is power and the word is mightier than the sword. I loved your little poem. I just hope that paperbacks never leave the world for the dump. Kindle seems to be the thing these days. Give me a book anytime. Blessings, Kace.

Thank you so much for your reviewing my non competition Picture Challenge poem and even more so for your wonderful six stars. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Like you, I prefer a real book - one that I can hold, admire, bend a corner page if I want to. I especially like the look and feel of a hard back. I've never used a Kindle as it seems impersonal, however, I can see the convenience of it holding more than one book at a time. Either way - I'm on the same page as you :-) ~DD
ps - I'm not sure what to call you now - is it Kace or Kay?

My pet name is Kace, sounds softer than Kay. It comes from a combination of my middle name C. I have three paperbacks on the go most of the time. Maybe I am old fashioned, once they are gone - gone forever. XX Kace.

It's been so neat to see everyone's interpretation of this artwork. I love the wordplay in yours, especially "locked", "knocks", and "key". Very clever and well written with a strong message, too. Great job! :)

Thanks Jenna for your review and noticing my word play. You are the only one that seems to have really noticed and I appreciate that. I thought it way obvious myself but I'm know the author (me that is : -). ~DD

Especially when knowledge is not stopped and it is allowed to run rampant.
Very nicely done toward the challenge and reference to the picture is excellent

To tweak the mind
To open life
That is the goal
Education makes whole
How far education has moved
Hope the young minds open
To the wonders of the world

Danpald, thank you for your review on my Picture Challenge poem and for the reflective comments. I too hope the young minds become and stay open to the wonders of the world and not stay in the virtual. Kind regards. ~DD

A very interesting use of the 5-7-5 form. Each of the three lines majors on a different aspect of the ever open door of knowledge. Open that is if you are prepared to think, ask and make good use of the knowledge so obtained.

Well written short work that captures the very essence of the image.
So much truth here, children are like sponges when faced with knowledge and they are our future
