Love it-quite funny with it's striking picture to catch the eye and the words to get at the depth of the humor. Never saw a quack portrayed in this way.

Enjoyed reading this, very clever, two-part pranka, even better than the last one. And do like how you came up with a duck phobia, naming it, mallard malady...trying desperately it would seem to become uncursed, this duck hunter then seeks to find help, possibly now, with a psych doc that he too, appears to him to be another duck...making it out to be an exceptionally funny poem...C.

This is a very well written and very cute poem about the duck. It is quite comical the wording you used and the imagery with the picture. I enjoyed reading and reviewing it. I did not see any spags. Blessings, Teri

Is that a duck you've got hanging around your neck, or have you been out at night again? Don't you know our duvet's getting lonely? Down under they use geese for Christmas. Now that's talkin' turkey.

Wait. Wrong bird? Oh hell, waddled into that one... What can a Canuck say? (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)

("You'll be okay.")

Smelling salts help. Ducks often don't need 'em 'cuz of the salt marshes and the hole in the ozone...

Waddaya mean, ya don't understand what I'm sayin'?
What are ya, a bird-brain? (HAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!)

Bill,
This was a fun read. I enjoyed the references to 'duck things--daffy, mallard malady & the alliteration--dying drake, limit/lake, Doc/duck.

The picture is perfect & the large font size seems right. Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

Oh Dear, Bill, you make me laugh so much. So here you are. A six for this and a few others when I didn't have any left. I love your daft poems. They are just so funny. You're so talented. All the best. Ulla:)))

Saw that in a movie. Guys yells "Duck!" just before a duck knocks his companion senseless. Cursed by a wounded drake...sheer justice. Excellent humor poem.

Your ducks are ducky my friend. I am in awe. There is something enchanting about your series of poems and short works. I surely hope you end up doing something with all of these. xoxo Kiwi

Duck, duck, mallard
I think I'm in love with Florence Ballard*
Everywhere I look all that I can see
Duck after duck coming after me.
At last, someone else is suffering from this malady
O wonder if it's a curse or an allergy
If you find someone who'll help please send them to me.

-The late Florence Ballard was a singer with the original Motown group the Supremes, on whom I had a mad crush for years.

I'd send you to my doctor, but he's a quack.
