RodG, this is a short poem of 15 syllables but it paints an obvious picture of being a pet owner and one that is a loving and caring one. A beautiful picture to add to these thoughtful words. ~DD

The gift humans receive from their pets is one of the most valuable and the love flows both ways. A lovely image to illustrate your short poem. Much luck in the contest. Marilyn

That is quite a huge dog in the picture. Yes, and that's a great definition of the family pet - a member who is loved by all the other family members and hopefully stays loyal. Although, there are dogs and cats who love to roam.

You nailed it to 15 syllables and expressed poetically what a pet means to you. I find it hard to keep my count less then 25. this is very good. Thank you for sharing.
