C_LUCAS,

Nice job for the contest. The theme is well chosen. The flow is smooth. Short and sweet. Thoughts are expressed and described well. The artwork complemented your poem.

There was no SPAG. No typos. No homophones. No problems at all.

I look forward to seeing you again.

Love you,

Oatmeal

Touche' my friend. You it the nail on the head. Too bad a lot of people aren't listening. I just heard from my friend in Puerto Rico today. Mary

Picture says it all it isn't how why or when it is when it does happened everyone needs to stand together United and get the job done of getting things up and running once again on even keel

Charlie,

One of your great talents is summing things up into small phrases or into these one line poems or those six word poems. You have a great way of editing everything down to the meat of the issue. Great job on this. Perfect message. Thanks and good luck!

Good afternoon, Charlie

How true, but human nature what it is, will at times, place the blame before the action. Great picture!

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

You have made a very valid point in this short work Charlie.

It is wonderful to see how people are now rallying around to lend a hand in the wake of the recent spate of terrorist attacks

It has been said that a good defense is a good offense, which I guess also means being offensive. If you lack a plan to fix, then go ahead a affix blame on who or what might be the cause of the problem. This is especially effective if you plan to do nothing else to help, just point your finger and say things like isn't this a shame, invite others to offer suggestions. Of course you won't act on them, but will say, all the ideas were good but not workable given budget constraints.

I'm with you 100%! We rushed to help Texas, which was an absolute necessity. Then, everyone jumped on the Florida band wagon, to find out the media had blown that situation way out of proportion. Now, Puerto Rico is in dire need of help and the urgency is dragging it's butt. These people are desperate for our help. Where are the telethons and celebrities who jumped on board for the first two states. Haven't they seen the devastation in the islands? On Saturday, the news said Trump was headed to assess the situation on Tuesday. Why didn't he go on Saturday, or better yet, why not a week and a half ago when he should have? Okay, I'm rambling, but I'm mad as heck. Thanks for sharing.

A very well-written one-line poem. Most of us will in time of disaster forget about our differences and help out where we can, but there are always those who like to point the finger and try to blame others.

When you write a one line poem, you don't mess about, Charlie. This one line sends out a message I wish the world could read. If only people could see the broken families that have suffered and do something constructive to help them. This is a brilliant contest entry, my friend. Good luck! ) Sandra xxx
