Oh, to see the world through the eyes of a child again. Your well crafted Rondelle captures this mood very well. Very nicely composed. Don and Vicki.

If this isn't the perfect piece to accompany this picture then I don't know what is. The camera has cought the essential of the refrain line, or perhaps i should say the refrain line has caught the essential of the picture. Either way they make a great pair.

This rondelet. Deep In Thought, quickly tells us, in the perfect form of this poetic structure, that you are one to study your opinions, postulations, and submissions prior to voicing them. Good idea.

Hi me again
thought I would just pop back in to say that I have just now read the other reviews on your poem and I must have been wrong when I thought the syllable count was back the front as there have been some very good writers who have said in their reviews that it is in good Rondelet form so please just ignore my comments
ta
have a smiley day
it is a very beautiful poem
the content is strong and means a great deal to the wisdom of the human mind and heart
thinking before speaking waiting till all is thought through is wisdom
Please do not take me as a definite;- but;- I think your refrain lines are 8 syllables but should they be 4 syllables while the other lines are 8? I am only a learner in all these forms of poetry so just ignore me if I have it back the front
have a smiley day

Thanks for your review, Smiley Cloud. I very much appreciated your comments about the form of the poem. I went back and had another look, only to discover that you were quite right! I had the whole thing back-to-front! You gave me enough time before the contest deadline to recast it according to the correct metrical scheme, as below:
Much thought is due
before I gain the words to speak.
Much thought is due
in times like this while words accrue.
Each day I learn of life?s mystique;
fresh marvels that unfold each week.
Much thought is due.
I owe you a thumbs up for this one, but unfortunately have spent my ration for this month. Many thanks, anyway. It is always a pleasure to get a thorough review! Very few people noticed the basic error in my original!
All the best, Tony

I was not even sure I had it right
Your revised version is great and says all the same good message
have a smiley day
good luck in the contest

I like this enchanting work phrases a Rondelle. For sure, I would like to try it. It says much in a simple happy way. First and last lines repeat. Closure.

Took me a couple of reads to get into the poem's construction but once in.....WOW. I think the sixer says all I need to say. Good poem, good read and glad I took the time to reread. Thanks for sharing.

Such a cute poem and a beautiful picture. Yes, indeed, it seems as though the child who doesn't talk much yet, is waiting. Waiting until they have enough to talk about and expand on. Such a sweet time in life.
Thank you for sharing,

Great rhymes and flow and a fine rondolet form. My dad used to always admonish us to THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK. This made me think of him with gratitude for the insight, even if he delivered it with shouts and frowns. It's pure wisdom, nonetheless! This poem delivers it as self-reflection, thus removing any sense of preachiness. Bravo!
The these inventive rhymes deserve a standing ovation:
while words accrue.
Though life's mystique
unfolds each week,
Love it!
Good luck.
Should prove a contender.
Warmly, rd

I like this little write tony. I love the accompanying pensive photo of the little girl in deep thought. I like your accompanying words and the style the words were written in. Nothing here to change
