I have read a couple of these now mate and I must say...I like yours!! I will have to give one a go at some point... I enjoy new forms. I'm too busy at present though, off to Vietnam for a vacation with my family in under two weeks :)) Awesome poem, exceptional use of the form, made me smile! Good luck!!

Hello, my friend. Excellent form--rhyming and timing. Excellent phonetics (as usual from you). excellent exploration of the theme and imagery.
A few minor suggestions:
*
reflections of the trees and sky,(no ,)
and how the clouds go flying by.
*
For children(,) this is not pretence;
UK spelling? In US is is pretense.
Fun line:
They jump right in! Both feet go splat!
Perfect closing line:
When life's a game, it makes more sense.
Great presentation!

Love the way you present childlike joy and innocence and boldness! As adults we may just observe the reflections on the puddles and changes in the environment but children learn by experiencing life with abandon. Such a perfect example to write about to show your message in this well structured nove otto.

Started up the stairs and thought I should check the computer before calling it a day. Noticed you posting, checked it out and found your delightful poem. Thought the last two lines were a great closing. The last line, very thought provoking. Thanks,,,a good way to end my day.

Mud puddles I think we're made especially for kids they can spend hours entertaining themselves and never get into too much trouble. Muddy maybe but totally happy.

Been out net all week so don't feel bad we had a hurricane shake it up a bit down here where I am at so we were quite soggy but damn lucky.
