This is mostly so rhythmical, but I wonder whether it would better fit its pattern by taking out 'all' - so that it reads: 'Maybe that was long ago'
I really like the image which 'speaks' for the poem.

With best wishes, Writeling

Wow, I just thought I would come over for a visit and this one is fabulous. I love it. So emotional and hit the nail on the head about a person's feelings.

An effective and powerful message conveyed here in this poem that starts and ends with the same word - a sense of misadventure and helplessness evoked

Sad story--
Sounds like it could be written by a homeless man.
Gats right to the point. Everything we hold dear could be gone in an instant. The words are not overdone and "weepy", just the right tone to convey the message.
Very well done!

(Sadly laughing) This was awful, but a beautiful awful if that makes sense? Definitely deeply beyond concrete logical thinking. As in, is not beyond our comprehension how we are able to hold onto memories as if they are right now? Then they literally surround us in our environment as if it is reality. But sometimes reality can be false. THANK YOU for this!
