There is so much violence, in the past and today. I'm not sure what was worst but I can say living in the now is a lot more scarier than when I was younger. Thank you for sharing

We do live in a violent world and I am sure that God cries over the condition of man. He does not want violence and terror, but rather for us to have peace here on earth. One day He will return and then for 1,000 years it will be as He designed it to be before the fall of man. Patricia

It is sad, but it has become the norm these days and I think you are right friend, technology has given it a bigger platform and the terrorists seem to love it. I do not see an out though unfortunately, A thought provoking poem!!

It's a very sad situation in Spain, I have walked down The Ramblers so many times, I love Barcelona, (first visited in 1967, and it has given me such pleasure and now it is filled with terror, your poem is poignant and violence should be condemned along with all these wicked terrorists, love Dolly x

Yes, it does seem that violence has become an everyday occurrence in some form or other from riots to acts of terrorism.
And cars, killing and maiming innocent people, seem to be the current method of choice. I hope and pray these animals can be stopped. I also hope that vetting will not be able to be cancelled when the administration changes.
Unfortunately the internet is also a tool for those determined to destroy us - technology working against us as violence continues to dominate the news. And as you say, the world gets smaller.

New venues are not evil.
The fact that evil people bask in the limelight should not reflect on the media.

Thanks for the comments. Yes the media should report evil but also balance that reporting instead of only one side. They deliberately under report one side and over report the other making violence part of their agenda.

You may have a valid point. But media coverage is also divided. Those who lean left, favor these news outlets. Those who lean right favor others. As a result, we each listen to what we want to hear, and label the other side 'fake'. This is inherently divisive.
Both sides need to shed our 'leanings' and ferret out the truth. When both sides circle the wagons, no one gets anywhere.
