I applaud the poet's different approach to the prompt, as well as the excellent sentiment expressed. For consideration, one minimal addition of punctuation.

This is an interesting poem for the contest
A more gentle look at New York City
certainly, a city of diversity
flowers of all types, including the lily
Excellent entry with exact syllables at 5-7-5
and beautiful art work

    Thank you for your kind consideration. Just wanted to focus on something other than the ghetto. We know they sadly exist. But New York is more than that.

I loved the imagery of your 5-7-5 poem. The colours are beautiful. The words seem a bit disjointed. It may just be that I'm tired but.... keep writing, the more you learn and put up for review, the more you learn.
