Hey sweetie! I meant to call in and congratulate you on this pinnacle a little while back but I'm sorry, time got the bloody best of me.
I LOVED this to bits am always mindful of the difference between older people and younger people and it is that the older people just got there first. The latters time will come, right?! LOL
This is a most suitable format with the repeating line when something bears repeating...like WTF?? haha

Your perfect tempo rhythm and solid rhyming in this delightful Quatern made it a sing song read and just REALLY loved the reiteration of the theme:

Am I REALLY turning 70?

haha

Yes darling. But don't worry, I'm not far behind.
I'm already suffering the weak bladder sometimes...when I go on the trampoline with the kids haha...I HAVE to pee first or else a bit comes out LOL

All I know is I have SO much to look forward to, right?! haha

Yes, slow down, smell the roses, not the dog shit or poopy nappies and you'll do fine. Speaking of the latter, how is the new addition? Doing well I'm sure.

Anyway a big fat sixer for you and love to you and Bill

You are too sweet, my friend. I finally have a poem to post tonight about the newest addition to our family. So when I got on to post and found a review (a spectacular review, I might add), I was most surprised.
Thank you, Sweetie, for that marvelous review and the six-star rating. Wow!
I don't agree that you are "not too far behind." You could be my daughter!! Honestly, though, I don't feel like I'm that old. I think I still have some growing up to do.
Bill always loves it when I tell him that you remember to send hugs or hellos his way.
It's been about four months since I've posted anything, so let's if I can remember how to post a poem. And I see that you have a posting so I will also be looking into that as well.
Lots of love to you, dear friend.

Congratulations on turning 70! Your well formed Quatern tells the tale of acceptance and coping with the years - remember, its only a number.

Thank you for sharing,

Thank you for your encouragement, both in reviewing the poem and reminding me that seventy is "only a number."

I enjoyed reading your poem "I'M Seventy". You rhymed it well and chose an appropriate photo. Just enjoy yourself no matter what your age. There are a lot of people who do not make it to seventy.
All the best.
Marybell1.

I know how you feel, being 72. But in my case, I cannot walk, and I must always be plugged in to oxygen due to a strange lung disease that you've never heard of and don't want to. Ten years ago, I was camping and hiking in the Rocky Mts. Now I cannot walk to the mailbox.

It's not the number of your years that makes you old--it's the state of your health. Hope you stay disease-free for a long time. :)

Thank you, dear Phyllis, for your review. When I see your profile picture on here and when I have the chance to read your often humorous writing, it is hard to imagine that you have to stay plugged in to oxygen and that you cannot walk. You are such a gifted writer, and I'm glad that in spite of whatever physically might restrict you, you still manage to write. Good for you!
    Thanks again.

It's been a bit since I've read a Quatern - and this one certainly was a treat. I don't have far to go to get into your over 70's club. The aches and pains and ills and pills are enough to drive us crazy. I'm okay with it though, and apparently so are you from the sound of this up-beat poem.
Loved it.

Thank you, Rose, for your most thoughtful and encouraging review. I think there are a lot of people on this site who have age-related illnesses, and yet in spite of it all, we continue to write. We gotta keep those brains active!
    Thanks again.

I am giving you six stars because of the joy in your words. My sisterinlaw also just turned seventy, she still works as a physical therapist. Your words show how times have changed, seventy is not that old anymore. I like your line "stay young at heart".

Thank you for this lovely review. I like that you say that "seventy is not that old anymore." Now if I can just keep the thought in mind next time my knee goes out because of arthritis!
Thank you also for the exceptional rating, which always makes my day.
    My best to you.

A very well-written Qustern poem to celebrate your seblventieth birthday. In our minds we still feel young but our bodies tell another story. The main thing is to be yourself whatever age you are.

No way! I thought you were closer to my age as you have a young grandchild. Well it doesn't matter how old you are anyway. You stay young from yoga and all that you do. And you still write well:) lol.

Thank you, Teresa, for your review. I had to giggle a little when you said you thought I was closer to your age because I have a young grandchild. I just had a new grandchild born a few months ago, and I wonder how I'm going to keep up with her in two or three years when she is walking and running all over the place like her brother Jack. I must stay in shape somehow.
    Thanks again, my friend.

Geesh, I'll be counting my lucky stars to make it to sixty with the heart I've got, Connie.
You should deem yourself lucky. I'm quite certain your family deems themselves very fortunate to still have you hangin' around, lol.
Your Quatern is well written and composed. It features solid structure and a smooth, easy rhythm when read aloud.
Congrats on reaching such a wonderful personal milestone.
