I love it when dogs lay in this submissive style position as if they are soaking up the sun You have captured the moment perfectly. Your words describe the picture perfectly
I don't know how I missed this one, sorry
thanks for sharing

Oh, Dip, it was part of a contest so my fans were not notified. It held the number one slot for two days but came in third in the contest. Thanks.

That is a very cute picture. In viewing it, it reminded me of my dogs. However, with my largest one, I do not have to coax him to lay on his back. Every time it's warm and sunny when we go outside, he'll flop over in a minute.
Thanks for sharing this. JW

Pretty much describes all of us in the latter days of summer - even
here in New England. Perfect little poem for the contest. Short and
to the point - great artwork, too!

You really shouldn't have explained it all. I had you down as a seasoned wildlife photographer. Clever use of a series of standard phrases like belly up, poolside, soaks in the sun and dog days of summer. When all laid out as a haiku become an excellent oexample of the genre.

This speaks a Chihuahua like human being soaks in sun in the same posture like man keeping its belly up poolside like enjoying the day as a dog day of summer; I liked.

LOL this is a cute piece. The lines of imagery give us where and what. then the play on words for the satori brought it home. Nicely done
