I like the reference of the waiting room. Sometimes, it's not a fun place to be, but you are right about God delivering something after the wait.

Thank you for the lovely review, Melissa. Often when we are in His waiting room. we get to thinking He is never going to use us again in any way. Patricia

This is an interesting metaphor, Patricia. I would have never thought of it myself.
I have enjoyed reading this poem and I also like the picture. It's kind of haunting.
Thanks for sharing.

The photo of this small waiting room complements your poem perfectly. You must have been seriously ill several times. God makes you wait and will help you win in the end. Your poem rhymes all the way.

Thank you for the nice review, Robina, Yes, I have had several severe illnesses and one auto accident where I though I was going to die, but God had a purpose for my life and spared me each time.

Excellent, Patricia. It's hard for us to wait. But, as is said, "Not in my time, but in God's time." He has a purpose even though we cannot see it at the time. Best lines for me:
"So do not chafe at His loving care
for wherever He'd ask you to go
He'll guide and direct your steps"

Hi Patricia
Really enjoyed this beautiful spiritual poem, which flowed effortlessly,
lovely rhythm and rhyme throughout with some wonderful heartfelt lines within.
I particularly enjoyed the last stanza which completed this excellent poem tremendously well.
Mitchell.

I admired your "waiting room" metaphor and your appealing to our sense of smell. Your quatrains are very effective and your artwork selection reinforces the theme well. Smiles- Joan

Good use of a concrete object to say "Let go and let God." Stanza one describes me in meditation. Relax in a key word here. When I get in touch with the Divine, I ask, "What do I need to know now. "

Thanks so much for sharing that piece of wisdom. I like how you put it as "God's waiting room." So many times we are waiting for God to act or direct but you're right, we need to just enjoy being with Him.
It's up to you but it seems you might want to have " where ever " as one word, "wherever."
