Unless you can relate, unless you have lost a child, no one can know the devastation of loss a parent must be going through. It's a life changing emotion, one not wanted or looked for. I don't know how I would cope. This is another really sad poem, my friend, and I guess it doesn't get any better as time goes by. So very sorry. Sandra xxx

It's a beautiful poem--so sad and so true. The love and the pain pervades every stanza.
You've suffered more than your fair share. May God bless you.

Poe Toaster is a media epithet popularly used to refer to an unidentified person who, for over seven decades, paid an annual tribute to American author Edgar Allan Poe by visiting the cenotaph marking his original grave in Baltimore, Maryland, in the early hours of January 19, Poe's birthday .... "Edgar Allan Poe fan takes credit for graveyard legend".
    You can look it up.

The tradition ended 2009 as mysterious ly as it began on January 11th.
Last year at that time they welcomed a rebirth At Westminster Hall to honor the grat poet Poe on His 206th birthday.
It.s supposed to be A contest.
A bottle of congnac, three red rose, and the violin.
The "Poe Toaster" would take a swig of congnac and leave the remainder of that and the roses behind.
They used to leave flowers and poems (Young Women's)
At the graveside of "The Door's" singer Morrison until some idiot stole the Head Stone!

Sorry, Ricky, to hear about your loss again.
What has happened cannot be restored on earth.

"Please Lord, send me an Angel to take me to a place...
"Where You know...
"They will be...
"No more tears...

All in God's time.
It is important to stay in his will and continue leading a life that brings honour to God and your family.
Salvation is a gift, it cannot be earned. However, we are expected to have faith and do His will.

"No more tears... "

This life with all its problems is the temporary life.
The eternal life with all its joy will never pass but is yet to come.

Because one believes doesn't make it true. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

This is a beautiful dedication -telling the story in a nice, readable manner. The scenes are described simply, yet relatable. The same with the circumstance. You plant effective seeds for our minds to further nurture and imagine

Thank you for sharing this personal trial. I had to gain composure a couple times to fully read it. It is truly heart breaking and I will pray for you before I sleep. I don't know what you're going through but I commend you so dearly for opening up about it.

Dear Ricky,

I've read so much about Jay. It is all beautiful, just like the others.

I've never heard you mention your wife before. Do you miss her, too? Are you surprised at what she did?

Good write.

    Thanks very much Page...
    You asked the wrong question.
    My wife Carol was normal.
    Carolyn was not.
She gambled away all my assets in Atlantic City.
We are only 40 minutes away.
I had $8,600.00 in back taxes on my house with only three weeks to save it.
Close to $100,00.00 in total debt on credit cards from not paying the last ten years of bills.
They were never opened, turned upside down in her dresser.
I had to retire after 36 years and pull my profit sharing to save the house.
The day before she passed, she regressed back to a child with a child's voice.
She said that if i didn't leave her fathers basement in Pennsauken, NJ.
Her father Kenneth, would beat me up.
We live over 75 miles from there.
She then started reciting the center Square of "The Hollywood Squares" back to Charlie Weaver...
Lastly, before she passed out, her eyes rolled in her head.
She asked my youngest daughter Dana to leave with her and leave me home alone, depressed over our son's death.
She stopped her meds months earlier.
I brought her back from the first Heart Attack...
They lost her at the hospital with the second.
    She is two feet away...
On a shelf from our son in a box like him.
    Miss that?
    Ricky...
