First of all, congratulations on winning the contest! Writing one of these Crowns is no easy task, and I admire everything about this one. Spot-on meter, rhyme and rhyme pattern and the development of an excellent story. Importantly, the repeating lines do not feel forced.
I also liked the closing couplets in 1, 2 and 7 because they cast a definite philosophical summation, thought for the reader to ponder. For me, these three best capture the intent of the sonnet couplet.
Beautifully penned, my friend. I love how your command of the language celebrates poetry in such fine form. What a wonderful talent you have, and I am so glad to have read this Crown today.

Congrats on All Time Best! Loved your Sonnet, so much happens that we watch in Oz. Reminds me of the Sower and the Seed from the Bible. "With dovetailed love, ingrained, to give new life." I wasn't sure if this crown of heroic sonnets would maintain my interest first thing in the morning as I sip my tea. And I was pleasantly surprised at how it flowed from one sonnet to the next with such ease and flow! And it not only maintained my interest to the end - but I thoroughly enjoyed the images painted with words so well chosen to evoke a mood of both hope and sadness. Despite the determination to thrive and survive, in the end, we like the little flower will fade. But such memories accumulated along the way makes the journey worthwhile. Well done.

As I finished your poem, I thought back to when you first joined FS. At that time I was keen on scoping out the competition, weighing myself against the top poets and those who had newly joined, then restricting my reviewing to those since my time is so limited. I can't recall the singular poem, perhaps a frightened rabbit, but what memory brings up was my delight. You had a softness to your writing and a gift of words that turned the ordinary observation into something beautiful. I thought at the time that you might just turn into my favorite poet on the site. You have. When I returned to FS this spring, I looked at how you have shaped your talent in the past four or so years and think that my prescience was spot on. You do transcend and I hope that you will publish one day. It is only fair that you mesmerize others outside our little band of Fanstorians. This piece made me smile and weep. I I wonder whether the poem you were referring to was:
The Hare
At the edge of the trees
Shadows are strewn,
A motionless frieze
etched by the moon.
An instinct of fear
Is caught in its light
Its footfall like snowfall,
Soft in the night.
I wrote it about forty-five years ago after a walk one evening in Sussex woods near my mother's house and it is still one of my favourites. I was delighted by some of the comments about it when I posted it here on FanStory, almost four years ago. It must have been one of the first that i put up on site. How time flies!

What trouble you must have taken to plan and write ths!
An old house whose cracked mortars provide a chance for the forget-me- nots to strike root and old on to its tenuous grip, then the thought that how the winds of chance must have dropped a seed,the dilapidated house that provide nest to birds ,your plan to renovate.going through the old toys and things' the renovation plans and work etc etc..
then the thoughts about your declining years.
i enjoyed reading it ,the metre ,the thymes al adding to its enjoyment.I liked the very last couplet very much

This reminds me of one of those tragic plays. I had to read a few for my degree and found them enjoyable but hard going lol. Like your poem better. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.
