I couldn't agree more. I'm 70 years old and my fight began in the 60s. It seems we made gains slowly over time to only slide back. I will keep voting, I will persist and resist.

This is indeed what voting...for the right things, the right way....and for
the right reasons....with the right kind of leadership and example is all
about. Most surely your vote is like I and most would unhesitatingly
cast. Yet, as you note, and we are all still so aware, of all that still
exists to the contrary; we remain in continual jeopardy and a yet
not too unforeseeable doom. A direly needed reminder and obvious
peril shared in your vote message here. Thank you for sharing it here.
Gratefully, best wishes always, Ronni

These are all good things to vote for. Now getting someone to recognize the vote and carry out our intensions it the trick. Good job getting the challenge out there. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for reading my entry. I appreciate your comments.

Agreed. But perhaps the way to vote with you isn't through government election at all but in a grass roots effort where everyone would take the risks of being kind and loving to their neighbors.

Thank you for sharing your contest entry with us. Your words echo the sentiments of many people who are sitting there and scratch their heads as every single campaign promise has been ignored or broken,

Yes, the future is in our hands. I, too, was disappointed by the outcome of the last election. This part of your get out and vote essay resonated with me:
I voted to end man's inhumanity to man, world hunger, sexual harassment, and for people to respect the differences of others.
So far, my vote was ignored.
You end your piece with firm encouragement:
Please cast your vote to preserve peace, knowledge and the human initiative. The future is in our hands!
Thank you for sharing and caring.

Well-written. I agree completely with your assessment, too, though I know that isn't supposed to factor in to a review.
I am happy when I see protests. I've been an activist all my life and begged, BEGGED my family to join me. Now I am too sick, but they are all out there. Protecting the rights of my sister and niece, protecting the sanctity of the marriage of my brother and his husband, trying to turn the world around before we start a world war or get nuked.
Very thought-provoking post, as I guess you see, LOL.

Thank you so much for your passionate review. I believe in protecting people's rights, especially those that can't protect themselves.

Well written, well said. You put everything into words that remind us of our frustrations of everyday life. Our vote does count. It's in the Lord's hands not ours.

I read this as a diatribe which wasn't appealing. I thought that it might be a parody of a poster or advertisement, but it didn't seem to be. You have 500 words, so I'd encourage you to use it more to flesh out your message. Talk about specifics, compare and contrast your view to those you're 'voting' against.
