Hi,
This is an excellent entry to this contest. The little girl was very likable, the way she talked made the character adorable. It's not easy to write with just dialogue, and the story line was very interesting, too. Unfortunately, there are many cases out there like this.

This dialogue made me almost want to cry. It really reminded me of my granddaughter, her mother, and the boyfriend. I have taught her to call me and even to use her tablet to Skype me. However, I think that I am going to train her to dial a 911 instead of me so that the police are involved instead of myself.
Your depiction of this event was spot on. What a wonderful way for others to learn just how this kind of event should go down.

Thank you for the Exceptional review. I agree, have her call 911, she'd get help faster than if you had to act as the middle man.
Thanks for your wonderful comments.

Very realistic and intriguing dialogue between this 2 yr. old and 911
Operator, and one very brave and focused little caretaker of her mom
in this event. Amazing how kids can take charge in an emergency
almost like and adult, and God bless them when they can and do.
Thanks for sharing this real life drama, that can happen and does
happen more than we know. The word dialogue of little Jennifer
was perfect for a 2 yr old. making the story all the more realistic.
Thanks for sharing....
Best wishes, Ronni

As your dialogue suggests - one smart little girl. We often underestimate the abilities of young children. It's never too early to put safety plans into place. The 911 operator was pretty smart, too - picking up on Mickey like that!

Cool. How often do you actually laugh out loud during a 911 call. Of course I felt for the emergency but the language of the little girl was so cute. It truly demonstrates how resourceful and smarter then we think, children are. (My attempt at trying to be cute also, a little Yoda)

Excellent piece. The emotional gravity is immediately intense and great use of characterization with the child's language skills. Great job! Good luck in the contest!
