A morbid tale of betrayal and revenge. There is no end of wrath for a woman scorned.

Well developed series of taunts leading to the ultimate sweet revenge.
The image complements the tension and pathos in the relationship.

Well now,They do say that - hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned, makes one wonder just how many times the above scenario has been played out through the ages does it not. Nice!

A good free verse, the flow of thought was easy and read well.
Clearly, a dear love was wronged and so badly she could not bear the pain.
A broken heart does not mend easily.
An excellent horror poem. Well done.

Luna, I see this as the dream of a young soul, being played by a man who belongs to another. I see her conscience speaking to her like another woman. She knows but keep dreaming. I guess the beauty of a good poem is in the eye of the beholder.

Ouch! Another testimony to a woman's scorn! You
pull no punches and you also write a terrific poem.
I'm not so sure that it fits with Valentine's Day but
to each their own. Very well done. -Bill

Wow! Didn't exactly expect that...guess he didn't either!
Sometimes things in life or even in marriage don't turn out for the best
and evil forces soak up all the love. In this case they may have to soak up all the blood as well. Well-done, free verse.

Wow! A sad tale of "if I can't have him, nobody can." At first I thought that she was going to be warned that he had cheated before, but always came back to his first love. But that first love had other ideas. Very well written. Thanks for sharing.

It's often said that revenge is a dish best served cold, Jeni.
By all appearances related to the content of your posting, that couldn't be further from the truth, at least according to you.
Your protagonist's revenge was served with hot tea and hot lead to the head. A bullet appetizer, if you will.
Nice...

Hi Jeni,

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting that ending! I love stories that take me to a place I didn't expect to go to. And you did a terrific job of taking us there. Two sides of the same story ... quite different!

The consequences of trying to spend the same coin at two different stores usually results in a major problem. His problem has no remedy! Bang --- you're dead!

Loved it!

W#ishing you well,

Alan
