Excellent theme for a poem. You capture the journey of life, we face our fears and challenges and reach for our goals. Excellent poetic form and use of words. Your poem is inspirational.

I had a bit of trouble with the Metre on S5L2.
Word order, perhaps? Drop the period from line 1 and add:
'and now you know you can succeed.'
Of course just a suggestion.

I am in agreeance that you can definitely be freed from those feelings of angst if you try. I've faced my height fears (to a degree) and also being alone (in the forest) but NOT the flying, just yet haha...give me time! LOL
Your perfectly rhymed poetic instructions on how to climb that huge mountain are clear. Your words like a compass as you guided the clim...oops I mean reader haha to the peak to behold the view and the feelings of freedom and relief and the ability to conquer anything. TOO GOOD!
There is ALWAYS a risk, but it's a healthy risk and so long as you are aware of that and keep your composure, you really CAN achieve anything and everything.
Glad I have a sixer left to give you

Awww . . . thank you for a wonderful review and for an "exceptional" rating, which, of course, I truly appreciate. You are such a sweetheart to always give me such encouragement.
So you have a fear of flying, huh? Guess that means we will never meet in person unless I fly your way. We are scheduled to fly to Paris this coming September (unless Trump and his cronies say something to the French to make us not welcome there). I do not look forward to a ten-hour, non-stop flight, as I, too, don't much like flying. While Bill might be napping on the long flight, I will be sitting next to him clenching my teeth and holding on to the seat at the slightest bit of turbulence.

I know that fear in many things yet I do so many things others wouldn't, like parasailing. And I saw a shark when snorkeling. I wasn't afraid and swam closer to it.
Beautiful metaphorical poem of all fears in life.

Yep, that's what it takes. There is no way to get past your fears except straight ahead through the middle, one step at a time. The more you can do, the more confidence you will gain, and before you know it, you WILL reach the top. :)

This poem should appeal to all readers as the theme is universal: Don't let your fears stop you from any achieving any dream. The metaphor of climbing that mountain relentlessly works. Flawless rhythm and unforced rhyme make this a very fine poem.
